BioNo, I'm not bitter at all...
In August of 2002, I took off for my amazing Parisian adventure - as the au pair of a 7 year old girl. I started blogging a few months later, on an almost daily basis, and consequently recorded both the everyday adventures of the life of an au pair... and the ultimate disolution of the whole adventure as my relationship with the family, specifically avec la mere, fell to pieces.
I've changed the names, other than the little girl's first name, to protect the family... and myself. And really, the only reason that I keep Gaelle's name on here is in the hopes of connecting with some of her other nannies and au pairs (of which there were over half a dozen in the year following my departure. God only knows how many there have been in the poor girl's 10 years of life.)
I hope you all enjoy - and aren't discouraged by the following events. And in truth, I'd do it all over again if I could. I'd just do it with another family!
